What is endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a chronic condition in which the uterine lining grows outside the uterine cavity. This can occur in various areas of the body such as the ovaries, bladder, or intestines. The consequences are often chronic pain and frequently an unfulfilled desire to have children. Unfortunately, it often takes many years before endometriosis is diagnosed.
The University Women's Clinic Magdeburg is one of the few centers in Germany that treats endometriosis and related conditions such as fibroids in an interdisciplinary manner. This means that those affected are optimally cared for by a team of various specialists.
