In the "Cellular Neurodegeneration" section, the molecular and cellular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases are investigated using neuronal cell cultures and brain slices obtained from mouse models of neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's disease). High-resolution fluorescence microscopy and various electrophysiological methods are used to analyze changes in synaptic plasticity in these models.
