Students visit for 15th Boys‘ Day
|
As part of the 15th Boys’ Day, we welcomed students to the Institute for Clinical Immunology and Cell Therapeutics (IKIZ). After an introduction to the institute’s various research areas, they gained fascinating insights into laboratory work. Together with doctoral students from the Dudeck research group and students in the master’s program in immunology, the students independently isolated DNA from strawberries and oral mucosal cells. In addition, they were able to identify various immune cells under the microscope. The program was complemented by presentations on the immune system as well as on various training and degree options in the field of life sciences. Among other things, the program highlighted training to become a biological-technical assistant (BTA), medical school and the Bachelor’s program in Biomedical Science.
We were very pleased with the interest and enthusiastic participation of the students.
