The University Medical Center Magdeburg (UMMD) is taking another step towards the digital future. At an internal event today, digital ward rounds were presented as a pilot project on the gastroenterology ward by Prof. Dr. med. Verena Keitel-Anselmino.

The ‘Psychosocial Cancer Counselling Centre’ at the University Clinic for Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy in Magdeburg, headed by Prof. Dr Florian Junne, has been in existence for 16 years and offers free counselling on site, by telephone and online.

Tino Sorge and his colleague Sepp Müller visited Magdeburg University Hospital on 9 January 2025. The focus was on discussing the pending emergency reform and digitalisation in emergency medicine in terms of a digital rescue chain. The aspects of digitalisation were also explained in the context of the so-called ‘mass casualty incident’ (MANV).

Two strong partners for better healthcare: Magdeburg University Hospital and Johanniter Hospital Stendal are entering into a long-term partnership. The aim is to secure and further develop medical care in the region, even in times of demographic and economic challenges.

The Director of the University Eye Clinic Magdeburg and founder of the Children's Glaucoma Center, Prof. Dr. med. Hagen Thieme, is setting a special example for his youngest patients.
